Quick answer

Write to [email protected], open Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET. That inbox handles corrections, questions about the arithmetic on any page, and press. We cannot check a ticket, look up an order, pay a prize or tell anyone what to play, because we are an editorial desk and not a lottery, a retailer or an agent.

Getting in touch

One inbox, and what it is for

We are a small desk. The address below is the whole of it, and it is read by the people responsible for the pages.

There is one address, and it reaches the people who write the pages: [email protected]. It is read Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET, and a reply usually takes a working day or two. There is no phone line, because there is nothing to order and no account to look up.

If you are writing about a number, please say which page and which figure. Every page on this site carries the date it was last checked at the foot, and quoting that date alongside the figure makes a correction much faster to make.

The middle rows matter more than they look. A surprising share of the mail that reaches sites like this one is from people who have found us while trying to reach an actual lottery, and the sooner that is redirected the better. More on that in checking results officially.

Corrections

How corrections are handled

Send the page and the figure

A URL and the number you think is wrong is enough. If you have the official source in front of you, send that too and the fix takes minutes rather than hours.

We date every change

Corrections are made in place and the last-checked date at the foot of the page moves. We do not quietly edit a number and leave the old date sitting there.

Games change, and that is normal

Matrices and prices get revised. Mega Millions changed in April 2025. A page with stale odds is worse than no page, so a report that something has moved is genuinely useful.

We will say when we were wrong

If a figure was wrong rather than simply out of date, the page says so rather than pretending the new number was always there.

The full method, including what happens when two sources disagree and what we do when we cannot verify something at all, is on editorial standards.

Limits

What we cannot do

  • We cannot tell you whether a ticket has won. Only the lottery that issued it can do that.
  • We cannot pay, process, forward or expedite a prize of any kind, and anybody offering to do so for a fee should be treated as a scam.
  • We cannot recommend numbers, systems, apps or strategies, because nothing of that kind changes a fair draw.
  • We cannot give tax, legal or financial advice. The pages on those subjects describe published rules and say plainly that a real win is a reason to hire a professional.
  • We cannot enter you into anything, and we never run competitions, giveaways or draws of our own.

If a message arrives claiming to be from us and asking for money, a fee, a bank detail or a gift card, it is not from us. We never ask readers for payment of any kind. That pattern, and what to do about it, is set out on the scams page.

Corrections first

Why we want to hear from you

Most sites in this corner of the internet want to hear from you for a reason: a sale, a sign-up, a list. We do not have any of those, which makes the question of what this inbox is actually for worth answering directly.

It exists because a site built on numbers needs a way for readers to tell it when a number has gone wrong. Lottery formats change, prize structures get revised, tax thresholds move, and state rules on anonymity are amended quietly and without announcement. We re-check the figures on a schedule, but a reader who has just been told something different by their own state lottery will usually get there first.

It also exists because the arithmetic on this site is meant to be checkable. If a derivation does not add up for you, that is either our error or a step we explained badly, and both are worth fixing. We would rather rewrite a paragraph than leave a reader taking a number on trust, since taking numbers on trust is the habit this whole site is arguing against.

The one thing we will not do with this inbox is use it to sell you something later. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no retargeting. A message about a typo gets a reply about a typo.

Reuse

Press and research

Journalists and researchers are welcome to use anything on this site, including the derivations, provided the source underneath it is credited rather than us. Every factual page links the official game chart, agency page or study it rests on, and that is the citation worth passing on.

If you need a figure confirmed before a deadline, say so in the subject line of your message to [email protected] and we will prioritise it. If you need something we have not published, we will either find the source or tell you that we could not, which is an answer we give often enough to have a page about it.

The two headline figures, for reference: Powerball is 1 in 292,201,338 and Mega Millions is 1 in 290,472,336 for a single play, both checked 2026-09-24 against the official game sites.

The desk

Who you are writing to

GoLottoWins is an independent lottery odds and claims-checking site. We are not a lottery, a retailer, an agent, a courier or a claims service, and we have no financial relationship with any of them.

Email: [email protected], Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET, covering corrections, questions about the arithmetic, press.

Everything about how the site is run, and how it is funded, is on the about page. The short version is that it is not funded: there are no affiliate links, no sponsored placements and no commission anywhere on it.

Contact: common questions

How do I contact you?

Email [email protected], read Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ET. It covers corrections, questions about the arithmetic, and press. There is no phone line because there is nothing to order.

Can you tell me if my ticket won?

No. Only the lottery that issued the ticket can validate it. Check with the retailer or your state lottery.

Can you help me claim a prize?

No. We are not a lottery, an agent or a claims service. Anyone offering to release a prize for a fee is running a scam.

Will you tell me which numbers to play?

No, and nobody honestly can. A fair draw is independent of every draw before it, so no method changes the odds.

I found a mistake on a page. Will you fix it?

Yes, and quickly. Send the page and the figure, ideally with the official source, and we will correct it and move the last-checked date.

Do you accept advertising or affiliate offers?

No. Taking a commission from anyone in this field would undermine the only thing this site is for.

Where do I get help with gambling?

The National Problem Gambling Helpline on 1-800-MY-RESET (1-800-697-3738), also reachable on 1-800-522-4700. It is free, confidential and open 24 hours.

Are you affiliated with Powerball or Mega Millions?

No. We are independent of both, of every state lottery, and of every company selling a lottery-related product.

Before you spend anything

The odds do not move, so check them yourself

Powerball is 1 in 292,201,338 and Mega Millions is 1 in 290,472,336 for one play. Every figure on this site is dated, sourced and shown with its arithmetic, and we sell nothing that could change any of it.
